First time ever coming to a PP. Came for my yearly gynecologist appointment. I’ve never felt so cared for by medical staff before. It was a long wait time because of how busy they were, but once I was in the back, everyone who saw me was so nice and genuinely cared about my health and concerns. I felt so safe here. It didn’t feel rushed at all which is what I am used to when going to the doctor. I was able to get a lot of information about resources. And being without insurance, it was quite affordable given all the things they did for me. I will definitely come here again.

The women working the front are amazing. I do their job so I know its hard to handle the public. Sadly every single time I've been seen, or like today tried to be seen, it has been horrible. Today I needed to be seen for a pretty severe issues that has been getting worse. But sadly they can't bill medicaid for the visit and I cannot afford to pay out of pocket. The dies time was in MD. I needed emergency birth control so my sister took me to PP. They took income statements, I had all of one because my ex had been laid off. He had gotten $84 for his national guard pay. They charged me that entire amount for a Depe vaccination. I know you guys do good things, but sadl6 my experiences have not been like that. Keep help those that are able to get in and be seen. I keep referring people to you even if I've never had a good personal experience for myself. Have an amazing day. And thank you to the women being so compassionate when I was crying because I couldn't afford the visitor I drove an hour for. They were great.

I went for a routine check-up (because anyone with a right mind knows PP offers way more than just one kind of care!!!) and cannot recommend these practitioners enough. From check in to check out everything was easy and everyone was very kind! I was anxious because it had been a while, but I felt cared for and safe. Thank you to the fantastic staff here!

This is a long review but please do read to the end it is helpful. When first reading reviews for this clinic I was a bit skeptic due to many reviews discussing wait times. However, this clinic is the closest for me to receive the specific type of care I needed, so I figured I would just risk the times. When I got to the clinic, it was already packed full of patients and it was only 10 in the morning on a Friday. This surprised me and I knew immediately I would experience a long wait time. My husband and I prepared by having charges and snacks. After being told to wait for sonography, I watched as other patients poured into the clinic and overheard conversations of those in the lobby talking about where they were from, just making small talk with others. It occurred to me that this clinic services people from all over the country, quite literally. I myself travels from Louisiana and thought I would be the only person out of state but that was not the case. Yes it is true you go from lobby to the back and then back to lobby a few times, but I think it is clear that is just a way to manage the amount of patients which makes sense as there is not a lot of rooms in the back. One of the best healthcare experiences I’ve ever had. We live in such intimidating times to seek healthcare, but the staff at this clinic truly make you feel at ease. Everyone from the front desk to the provider make you feel seen, validated, and cared for - you don’t feel like just another number. I had concerns upon realizing my insurance was out of network after recently moving to the area, and the lovely woman at the front was so knowledgeable and immediately was able to help me get access for an IUD replacement. I cannot express enough gratitude to the team at this clinic for everything they did for me, you can really tell how much they care and value the members of their community. I’m so especially thankful for Yesenia and Ashley who were the two primary staff members I dealt with other than the provider, who is also amazing. You all really know how to make a person feel safe and supported. Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart. This clinic is exactly what healthcare should be.

My experience at Planned Parenthood in Roanoke was truly positive. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable. The front desk team was kind and professional, and the nurses and providers took the time to listen carefully and answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed. What stood out to me most was the compassion and professionalism of the entire team. Healthcare visits can sometimes feel intimidating, but the staff created a supportive and judgment-free environment that made the experience much easier. They explained everything clearly, treated me with dignity, and ensured I felt informed about my care. The clinic was organized, efficient, and focused on patient wellbeing. It’s clear that the people working there truly care about the community and about providing quality healthcare to everyone who walks through their doors. I’m grateful for the care I received and would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone in the Roanoke area looking for respectful, knowledgeable, and compassionate healthcare providers.

Despite everything happening right now, around the country and the BS happening in D.C. that our leaders are letting effect PP's funding (though as of earlier this month it looks like the Tr*mp administration has decided to quietly give back the funding they STOLE) the staff and medical professionals at the Roanoke PP are amazing. They are kind, easy to talk too, and extraordinarily helpful. My wait time wasn't bad, it was under 20 minutes, so way under a normal wait for my typical visits. Healthcare is a right, and the staff here understands this, and you can really tell they care. I can't understand why in the world people can't get over that fact, as it honestly makes me sad to see PP having to take such precautions in their centers. Thank you to everyone I saw, you do amazing work for your community. I can't tell you how hard it's been finding healthcare where you feel like you matter.

Read my whole review please!!!!! I came All the way from Charlotte to VA my appointment was at 8:10am I got the surgical abortion done. I was overly nervous, scared, terrified, etc because I had this done one time before in NC and when I say the pain was 100000000 I mean just that. Coming to this clinic was nothing but amazing I felt nothing when I got my Surgical procedure done and if I did I was out of it. I did get the extra Medication but overall the staff was nothing but amazing. I don’t remember the doctor name (I’m sorry) but she was amazing if I could give them a Thousand stars I really would.
